Second Build


Hello, thank you for joining us once again on our journey in the development of this video game. In the second build of our game, we've made the following changes:

  • Functional enemies scattered throughout the map.
  • Art for vegetation, sky, terrain, and water.
  • Basic mechanics for chainsaw and machete attacks, a life system, and a magical plant.
  • Intro and outro cinematics.
  • Map navigation boundaries.
  • User interface without backend functions.
  • Initial menu.
  • The first camera system.

Here are the changes we still have pending integration and updates:

  • Implementation of various designed audio assets.
  • Music for cinematics.
  • User preference control in the UI.

Today, we had a pitch presentation of our game in front of our bootcamp colleagues and representatives from different companies. We received valuable feedback that will help us continue our work, such as the need for more suitable vegetation assets that better represent the Amazon rainforest. We also shared our intentions to keep improving the game and adding new features, which include:

  • Investments in improvements.
  • Adding more obstacles like trucks, lumberjacks with axes, and mining activities.
  • Saving and cooperation with animals.
